Is-sinjal għal PLATT FOND għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal PLATT biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ L kkurvata u jitqiegħdu fuq quddiem ’il bogħod minn xulxin biex jiffurmaw ċirku kbir orizzontali. (ii) Imbagħad l-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5. Id waħda titqiegħed fin-nofs bil-pala tħares ’il fuq. L-id l-oħra timxi ftit ’il fuq mill-id il-wieqfa bil-pala tħares ’l isfel u tkompli ’l isfel sakemm tmiss il-pala u terġa titla’ ftit ’il fuq.
The sign for DEEP or SOUP PLATE has two parts. (i) First the sign for PLATE is made with both hands in the shape of curved L. The hands are placed at the front away from each other to form a large horizontal circle. (ii) Then both hands take the shape of 5. One hand is placed stationary in the middle with palm facing upwards. The other hand moves with palm facing downwards from a little way over the stationary hand then downwards onto the palm of the stationary hand and then upwards again.
